- Correspondence between the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Marconi International Marine Co. Ltd. London, the Royal Naval Base, Immingham, Ellerman’s Wilson Line Ltd. Hull, and various ship repair companies and equipment suppliers, regarding the repair and overhaul of the Spurn Lightship, including its wireless transmission equipment and also the lantern equipment. The lightship’s wireless beacon had been discontinued during the war years and it was proposed to re-instate it after the war, as well as re-instating the submarine Nautophone system. There is correspondence regarding crew members, including disciplinary problems, within the file.
