A subject file created by the Engineer's Office of the Humber Conservancy Board. Comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, various engine spares suppliers, and various ship repair companies, regarding the repair (after collision damage), maintenance and overhaul of the Board’s motor launch E.P. Hutchinson. Includes specifications for the overhauling of the vessel and correspondence regarding the vessel colliding with a submerged ladder on the S/S Poolborough, hitting a submerged object in Humber Dock Lock, colliding with the Pilot Launch Cdr. A.J.E. Snowden, the British Transport D.H.B. No. 35 at Immingham, and colliding with the S/S Aire. The E.P. Hutchinson was moored by No.7 Quay, in Humber Dock, when the S/S Aire collided with it. Also includes correspondence regarding crew appointments.
