Comprises correspondence between the Chief Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, Cook, various ship building companies, including Cook, Welton and Gemmell Ltd., Beverley (who won the contract to construct the vessel), and various equipment suppliers regarding the proposed construction of a new light vessel for Spurn Point (this was known as Yard No. 937 at the ship builder). Includes specifications for various pieces of equipment to be fitted to the vessel, including a Sigmund manual fire pump, details of engines and mountings, framing and stern plans, pipeworks and runs, electrical switchboard, lighting and fog signal equipment, cooling coils and service fuel and fresh water tanks, cabin arrangements, lantern tower, deck fittings, bulkhead and deck plans, and a general arrangement plan, windlass motor, etc.
