Comprises correspondence between the Chief Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Associated Humber Lines and several other Shipping Companies, Trinity House, London, the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, Whitehall, and the Commodore to the Humber Pilots, Hull, regarding the rules and regulations to be observed by vessels sailing and operating in the River Humber and Trent System (including the manned light vessels operated by the Conservancy Board, as well as other regulations which affect the River Humber and Trent System. Includes a number of reports regarding a variety of vessels (including several trawlers) contravening these regulations, as well as correspondence with the Ministry of Housing and the Rural District of Holderness regarding the Coastal Protection Act, 1949, Section 18.
