Description:
Comprises correspondence between the Chief Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Wrecks Dispersal Officer, Grimsby, and various owners of vessels (and wrecks), regarding reports of their sundry obstructions at various locations, which could cause potential harm to shipping within the River Humber System. There is particular correspondence with the Lincoln and Hull Water Transport Co. Ltd., Hull, regarding their vessel the “Omfleet” which was sunk by enemy action in October 1941, in the first arm over the lock pit of Alexandra Dock, Hull.
