- Reference No:
- C DPD/1/3/5/1/291
- Dates:
- 5 Jan 1949-16 Jul 1962
- Description:
- Comprises correspondence between the Chief Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, various ship repair, marine engineering companies, and the Bergius and Co. Ltd. Glasgow (engine manufacturers), regarding the operation, repair after collison with the “Kelfield” near Brough Haven in 1954 and maintenance of the Board’s vessel M.L Conservancy. There appears to have been vibration problems from a propeller fitted on the vessel. In March 1958 the vessel was offered for sale as it was not in a seaworthy condition, and the vessel also suffered fire damage from a petrol fire in the engine room on 16th December 1955.
