Description:: Comprises correspondence between the Chief Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, The British Transport Docks Commission, Goole, Chance Brothers and Co. Ltd., Smethwick, the Aire and Calder Navigation, Leeds, and the Jetty Master at Faxfleet, regarding the operation, maintenance and repair of the Faxfleet Ness beacon and fog horn. Notes the electric cable for this beacon was damaged by a bulldozer on 5th June 1956. Includes tables showing wind and force, times the horn was sounded and ceased, and remarks.
