- Comprises correspondence between the Chief Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, various ship repair companies, and the vessel’s Chief Officer, regarding the operation, maintenance and overhaul of the Board’s vessel the J.H. Haworth, which was also used to relieve the pilot cutter on occasions. Also includes correspondence regarding special allowances to be paid to the crew during the course of their duties, a report of a man breaking into the ship on 8th April 1962 whilst it was moored in Albert Dock, Hull, and then drinking the spirit from within the ship’s compass, as well as a specification for modifications to the fore deck of the vessel, and the drydocking and overhauling of the vessel.
