Comprises correspondence between the Chief Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, and various local councils, yacht clubs, the Missions to Seamen, river boards, etc., oil tanker shipping companies, etc., regarding a variety of reports concerning a range of topics, which include: silting up of Barrow Haven, proposed NATO exercises at Grimsby Docks, the use of an ex-admiralty landing craft as an additional ferry from New Holland to Corporation Pier, Hull, training courses at Hull College of Technology, the conditions in the River Humber for Texaco Inc., New York, and other company’s ocean going tankers, sewage outfall problems, grain elevator tests in the River Humber, etc.
