Description:: The file comprises, correspondence sent (and received) by the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board (Arthur Ernest Butterfield), to the Chairman of the Marine and Works Committee, and various contractors, regarding the construction of a temporary Harbour Master’s Office in Hull adjoining the Conservancy Board’s Buoy Shed on the Old Harbour Side; the land upon which the original office was based was required by the North Eastern Railway. This includes a specification for the Office in the file.
