The file consists of correspondence between the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board (Arthur Ernest Butterfield) and the Admiralty concerning accounts payable by the Admiralty Port Officer (based at Immingham) for work carried out on their behalf by the Humber Conservancy Board. This includes detailed accounts outlining the use of the buoy yacht 'Queen' in connection with lighting and the removal of boom defences and war moorings for the Middle Light Ship in the Humber.
