A package containing papers accumulated in connection with Aire and Calder Navigation Lease No. 4E: a property situate on Ouse Street in the town of Goole, Yorkshire. It includes the following:
Deeds (1848–1876)
1. Assignment of Leasehold (31 March 1848): from Margaret Hamer (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to John Wiseman. It includes an inset map showing the property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and representatives of the Navigation: Sir William Mordaunt Milner, John Spencer Stanhope, William Mordaunt Edward Milner, and John George Smyth.
2. Attested copy (created 18 May 1848) of Assignment of Leasehold (31 March 1848): : from Margaret Hamer (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to John Wiseman.
3. Surrender of Leasehold (25 October 1876): from John Wiseman to Andrew Montagu and others (Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation. It has been signed and sealed by John Wiseman, and William Aldam representing the Navigation.
It also includes a description of the property as conveyed in the Lease of 31 March 1848.
