A package (divided into 2 folders) containing papers accumulated in connection with Aire and Calder Navigation Lease No. 36: Nos. 35 and 37 North Street (formerly Murham Lane), situate in the town of Goole, Yorkshire. It includes the following:

[Part 1]

Deeds (1839–1924):

1. Lease for 99 years (30 December 1839): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to George Dove. It includes an inset map showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the following representatives of the Aire and Calder Navigation: Sir William Mordaunt Milner, Sir John Lowther, Richard Fountayne Wilson, and John Spencer Stanhope.

2. Counterpart of Lease (30 December 1839): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to George Dove. It includes an inset map showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee.

3. Assignment of Lease and Mortgage of Leasehold (4 September 1840) for securing £300: George Dove (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Edward Spofforth. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and the following representatives of the Navigation: Sir William Mordaunt Milner, Sir John Lowther, Richard Fountayne Wilson, and John Spencer Stanhope.

4. Conveyance of an equity of resumption in Leasehold (7 June 1843): George Dove to David Foster. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned George Dove.

5. Mortgage of Leasehold (21 June 1849) for securing £500: David Foster (and his Mortgagee Edward Spofforth, with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Thomas Duckels and George Duckels. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Joseph Priestley on behalf of the Navigation.

AND by endorsement—Assignment of Leasehold (1 September 1886): Thomas Duckels and George Duckels (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Jonathan Dunn Hardy. The endorsement has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.

6. Surrender of Leasehold (12 March 1889): Jonathan Dunn Hardy to Andrew Montagu and others (Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation). The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee, and Francis Darwin on behalf of the Navigation.
