Description:

A package containing papers accumulated in connection with two Aire and Calder Navigation Leases situate in the town of Goole: Lease No. 51 (property situate on the north side of George Street). It includes the following:

Deeds (1828–1863):

1. Lease for 99 years (1 December 1828): Sir John Lowther and others (Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Samuel Redmand. It includes an inset plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by Mary Redman, and the following representatives of the Navigation: Sir John Lowther, Sir William Mordaunt Milner, Richard Fountayne Wilson, and John Spencer Stanhope.

2. Assignment of Leasehold (21 November 1863): the Administratrix of Samuel Redman, deceased, (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Robert Royston. It has been signed and sealed by Mr Royston, Mary Redman, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.
