Deeds (1848–1876)

1. Assignment of Leasehold Herditaments at Goole (31 March 1848): between Margaret Hamer (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) and Thomas Briggs. The Deed has been sealed and signed by Sir William Mordant Milner, John Spencer Stanhope, William Mordant Edward Milner, John George Smyth, and the aforementioned parties.

2. Attested copy (created 20 May 1848) of Assignment of Leasehold Herditaments at Goole (31 March 1848): between Margaret Hamer (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) and Thomas Briggs.

3. Draft Assignment of Leasehold Herditaments at Goole (1848): between Thomas Briggs (by direction of John Sykes with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to John Carter and William Carter.

4. Assignment of Leasehold Herditaments at Goole (1 December 1853): between Thomas Briggs (by direction of John Sykes with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to John Carter and William Carter. The Deed has been signed and sealed by Joseph Sykes, John Drinkrow Hall, and the aformentioned parties.

5. Abstract of the probate of the will of John Carter (27 September 1872–27 January 1874)

6. Lease of a plot of land and buildings in Goole, the Sidney Hotel (16 December 1876) from the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to George William Carter. Two copies, one of which is signed and sealed by the Trustees and the other by the Leasee.

7. Surrender of Leasehold premises in Aire Street and George Street, Goole, the Sideney Hotel (15 December 1876): from George William Carter to Andrew Montagu and others (Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation). The Deed has been signed and sealed by George William Carter and William Aldam.
