Description:

A package (divided into two folders) containing papers surrendered to the Aire and Calder Navigation on 4 March 1901 by Charles Fisher Junior. The papers are connected with Leasehold premises (No. 100) situate in Doyle Street in the town of Goole, Yorkshire. The package includes the following:

[Part 1]

Deeds (1854–1901):

1. Lease for 99 years (1 July 1854): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Francis Ingleby. It includes an inset plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee, and the following representatives of the Navigation: Sir William Mordaunt Milner, John Spencer Stanhope, John George Smyth, and William Mordaunt Edward Milner.

2. Counterpart of Lease for 99 years (1 July 1854): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Francis Ingleby. It includes an inset plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee.

3. Mortgage of Leasehold (12 February 1858) to secure £400: Francis Ingleby (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to John Luddington. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.

4. Further Charge of £300 on Leasehold (14 July 1863): Francis Ingleby to John Luddington. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties.

5. Transfer of Mortgage (11 July 1881): Francis Ingleby and John Luddington his Mortgagee (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Messrs William Everatt and Edward Thomas Clark. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.

6. Transfer of Mortgage (7 June 1883): Messrs William Everatt and Edward Thomas Clark to Messrs William Everatt and Patrick Dougherty. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties.

7. Transfer of Mortgage (24 November 1886): Messrs William Everatt and Patrick Dougherty to Thomas Hewitt. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.

8. Assignment of Leasehold (14 March 1891): the Executors of the late Thomas Hewitt to Charles Fisher the Younger. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Charles Fisher Junior, Charles Fisher Senior, Richard Matthias Cowell, Ann Hewitt, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.

9. Surrender of Leasehold (4 March 1901): Charles Fisher Junior to the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee.
