A package containing papers surrendered to the Aire and Calder Navigation on 10 June 1901 by George Gleadow. The papers are connected with Leasehold premises (No. 39) situate in Doyle Street in the town of Goole, Yorkshire. The package includes the following:
Deeds (1880–1901):
1. Mortgage of Leasehold (20 April 1880): George Gleadow (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to the Leeds Provincial Building Society. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee and Building Society, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.
2. Further Charge of Leasehold (19 May 1885): George Gleadow to the Leeds Provincial Building Society. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee and Building Society, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.
3. Lease for 99 years (25 June 1889): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to George Gleadow. It includes a plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the following representatives of the Navigation: Andrew Montagu, William Aldam, Walter Thomas William Spencer Stanhope, and Francis Darwin.
4. Surrender of Leasehold (10 June 1901): George Gleadow to the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee.
