A package containing papers surrendered to the Aire and Calder Navigation on 17 June 1903 by Sarah Jane Mahoney. The papers are connected with Leasehold premises (No. 78) situate in Lower Bridge Street in the town of Goole, Yorkshire. The package includes the following:
Deeds (1850–1903):
1. Lease for 99 years (5 August 1850): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Christopher Cushworth. It includes an inset plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee, and the following representatives of the Navigation: Sir William Mordaunt Milner, John Spencer Stanhope, William Mordaunt Edward Milner, and John George Smyth.
2. Counterpart of Lease for 99 years (5 August 1850): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Christopher Cushworth. It includes an inset plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee.
3. Underlease (4 December 1850): Christopher Cushworth to Messrs Nathaniel Wetherill and Robert Bromley. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Joseph Priestley on behalf of the Navigation.
4. Assignment and Surrender of Leasehold (14 January 1863): Messrs Nathaniel Wetherill and Robert Bromley (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Elizabeth Cusworth. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, Joseph Auckland, James Smith, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.
5. Assignment of Leasehold (15 December 1886): Messrs William Cusworth and Thomas Cusworth Trustees of Elizabeth Cusworth deceased (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Christopher Cusworth. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.
6. Surrender of Leasehold (17 June 1903): Sarah Jane Mahoney, Ebenezer May, and Samuel Emerson to the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and bears the seal of the Navigation.
