Description:

A package containing papers surrendered to the Aire and Calder Navigation on 21 July 1903 by Barbara Sidney and others. The papers are connected with Leasehold premises (No. 160) situate in Ouse Street in the town of Goole, Yorkshire. The package includes the following:

Deeds (1875–1903):

1. Lease for 99 years (29 October 1875): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to James Sheperd. It includes a plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the following representatives of the Navigation: William Aldam, Andrew Montagu, Walter Thomas William Spencer Stanhope, and George Lane Fox.

2. Counterpart of Lease for 99 years (29 October 1875): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to James Sheperd. It includes a plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee.

3. Surrender of Leasehold (21 July 1903): Barbara Sidney, Eliza Ann Hopton, George Hewson, and Alice Peters to the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and includes the seal of the Navigation.
