A package (divided into two folders) containing papers surrendered to the Aire and Calder Navigation on 1 October 1904 by the Hull Brewery Company and Thomas Rippon. The papers are connected with Leasehold premises (No. 38): the Keel Inn and cottages situate at the Junction of Doyle Street and Foundry Lane in the town of Goole, Yorkshire. The package includes the following:

Deeds (1839–1904):

1. Lease for 99 years (30 December 1839): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Robert Royston. It includes an inset plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee, and the following representatives of the Navigation: Sir William Mordaunt Milner, Richard Fountayne Wilson, John Spencer Stanhope, and Sir John Lowther.

2. Counterpart of Lease for 99 years (30 December 1839): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Robert Royston. It includes an inset plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee.

3. Mortgage of Leasehold (9 July 1844): Robert Royston (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to John Fox. The Deed has been signed and sealed by Mr Royston, and Joseph Priestley on behalf of the Navigation.

4. Surrender of Term in Leasehold Premises (18 May 1853): John Fox (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Robert Royston. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties.

5. Surrender of Leasehold (19 May 1885): Thomas Rippon the Younger and Joseph Abraham Bray to Andrew Montagu and others (Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation). The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Mr Bray, and Francis Darwin on behalf of the Navigation.

6. Lease for 103 years (20 May 1885): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Thomas Rippon and Joseph Abraham Bray. It includes a plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Mr Rippon, and the following representatives of the Navigation: Andrew Montagu, William Aldam, Walter Thomas William Spencer Stanhope, and Francis Darwin.

7. Counterpart of Lease for 103 years (20 May 1885): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Thomas Rippon and Joseph Abraham Bray. It includes a plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasees.

8. Assignment of Leasehold (9 June 1885): Messrs Thomas Rippon the Younger and Joseph Abrahim Bray (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) to Thomas Hewitt. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Marmaduke Storr Hodson on behalf of the Navigation.

9. Transfer of Mortgage (27 June 1895): Richard Matthias Cowell, Charles Fisher, and Ann Hewitt to the Hull Brewery Company Limited. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and Samuel Barraclough on behalf of the Navigation. It also bears the seal of the aforementioned Brewing Company.

10. Surrender of Leasehold (1 October 1904): the Hull Brewery Company Limited and Thomas Rippon to the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee. It also bears the seal of the Navigation and the aforementioned Brewing Company.
