Description:
The bundle contains correspondence between the Aire and Calder Navigation (Sir John Eaglesome, Managing Director), the West Riding of Yorkshire Constabulary (C. G. Vaughan), the Ministry of Transport, and the Royal Air Force Station (RAF) at Dishforth. The subject matter is a visit to the Goole Docks by bomber pilots from No. 78 (Bomber) Squadron on 23 February 1939. It includes a copy of an RAF report on the visit, and a corresponding memorandum by the Navigation.
