Dear Sir
The deck hand Thomas Ludden struck work on Sunday the 3 February 1884. I asked him what he had struck work for and he said I want to go home. The cook struck work on the 22 June I asked him what he had struck for and said he came to be cook and not to be a sailor he would not hold the warp back.
