Memoranda by Skipper. On Sunday morning June 28th 1894 we sighted a vessel flying signals of distress. The weather at the time blowing a terrific gael, we bore down to her & found it to be the Eva of Goole. The master asked us to tow her in, and after great difficulty managed to get our wire warp fast to her and commenced to tow, arriving at Hull with the vessel safe at 10pm the same day.
