Record of Death or Injury.
2/1/94 3pm River Humber. John Perry, 4th hand. We were heaving on a rope & Perry was keeping it clear. The rope parted and he fell with his hand on the capstan, which drew his hand in crushing it so severely that it had to be amputated.
Record of Casualty.
10th February 9pm. Shipped a very heavy sea and carried away the mast and sails.
