27/2/94 about 9.30am North Sea. R Leonard, boatswain. Drowned. He went in the boat with the 2nd hand & when they were capsized by a sea, seemed to lose his presence of mind & made no effort to save himself. Lines & buoys were thrown within reach but he did not heed them, was washed off the keel of the boat, sank & was not seen again.
