10.30pm 30/1/98 North Sea. Loss of trawl beam, both trawl heads & trawl. Fouling the gear of the smack Mersey of Hull. Through neglect on the part of our 2nd hand who was in sole charge of the watch. The Mersey cut our gear away in order to clear his own. The 2nd hand was below at the time.
