22/8/97 4am. Lost fishing gear. Through heavy tempest which caused the warp to part.

Official Log.

January 35th 1898. Collision with the steam trawler Ensign of Hull. No damage to us, we were both laid dead when our vessel drifted across his stern. I called out to him to go ahead but he did not do so soon enough and we hit him a sliding blow damaging his taffrail.
