Official Log. On the 19th July, when homeward bound about 200 miles SE of Iceland, I sighted a vessel ( which turned out to be the Danish Schooner Ha [?] Emil .) flying signals of distress. I Bore down to her, when her crew launched their boat & rowed to us & asked to be landed. They were taken onboard and brought to Hull where they were put ashore on the 23rd & taken charge of by the Danish Consul.
