Sighted the Norwegian barque Vesta in a sinking condition this morning, made an attempt to go to his assistance but had to keep the wind owing to shipping heavy water. Laid by him till 2pm & then took the remainder of his crew which was left, off the ship & made for the fleet. Arriving the next day November 14th, put them onboard the SS Alderney bound for Hull.
