Memoranda by Skipper.

The vessel left the fleet 6th May and sailed for the island of Fano on the coast of Denmark. The skipper John Rich then went on shore. Leaving the ship in charge of the 3rd Hand who jumped over board through drink and was drowned and then sailed for Hull arriving on the 14th May.

February 20th Silver Pits North Sea. Frederick Scatell 3rd Hand went on board the cutter aside of Hull , and refused to return on board his own vessel. Thereby causing us to come back to Hull being shorthanded.

Record of Death or Injury.

Death. George Carr. May 8th Tuesday while at anchor off Fano Island Denmark 4 to 5 pm. Jumped overboard from smack Albert Victor and was drowned whilst trying to save the boat which had drifted away with the cook of the Swallow in her.

Record of Casualty.

July 8th Dogger Bank 28 fathoms well out.Henry Garniu (?) skipper. Injured both legs, throwing the boat overboard.
