22 December 1884. Hull Roads River Humber, when making for St Andrews Dock Hull. Collision with HMS Repulse which was lying in the Hull Roads. We lost our main mast with all gear attached & 20 ft bowsail was damaged. Cause- chain cable fouling windlass barrel preventing an anchor reaching the bottom.
