3rd January. Collision with unknown steamer, Romulus stern damaged in 2 places.

Official Log.

In consequence of the damage sustained by the collision reffered to a Grimsby Trawler towed us into Esbjerg on the 6th. On the following day our skipper E Dixon was arrested by the police on a charge of stealing a watch from a jewellers shop, and on the following day was convicted & sentenced to a term of imprisonment. In consequence a fresh skipper was sent over from Hull taking charge on the 14th and bringing the ship back direct to the port named.
