8/1/05 7pm North Sea. Thomas Bolton skipper, assaulted by J Larkin boatswain. Struck a blow in the face with his fist. Knocking me down without any provocation.

For the assault referred to below J Larkin the boatswain was convicted at the local Police Court yesterday and sentenced by the Magistrate to 30 days imprisonment.

On Sunday January 8 the boatswain struck the skipper and on Monday morning refused to work the gear and I had to bring the ship home.
