Owing to his refusal of duty without sufficient cause I discharged W H Hargreaves from the position of trimmer on the 10th, whilst at sea and he signed clear. He however remained onboard ( but not as one of the crew ) until our arrival at this port yesterday. Hull 17th Augsut 1904.

On January 7th we shipped a sea and carried away the small boat.
