7th August 1905off the coast of Portugal. G Jacobson, deck hand. Cut head bty the boallard striking him , which had been torn from the deck by the warp through the fishing gear catching an obstruction.

Record of Casualty.

17th August 1905. Loss of fishing gear, about 200 fathoms of warp, also broke a bollard on the fore deck. The gear caught in some obstruction at the bottom, presumably wreckage.

I certify that George Jacobson was left behind here owing to inability ( accident in service of ship ) & proceed on the voyage. British Consulate, Oporto August 18 1905.
