ST Lord Wolseley Dep: from Hull on April 6 for a fishing voyage to Iceland and all went well, until April 22 when we sighted the French Schooner Promise of Dunkerque flying signal of distress and found her in a sinking condition. Her boat, pumps and bullworks all carried away and took the crew off 18 hands all told. It was blowing heavy gale , arrived in Hull on April 27.
