1/3/07 George Gray, fisherman & trimmer. Head split open. While guiding warp round the drum of the winch with hand spike, the latter caught & flying up struck his head.

Official Log.

George Gray ( see page 15, or above ) was taken onshore in the Westermann Isles 1/3/07 & attended to by the doctor there, returning on board the 6th March 1907. The doctor wrote the nature of his injury as Vulnus cont capitis. Gray was able to resume his duties on board & is now quite well.
