Official Log. We left Hull for Iceland 12th November 1907 having shipped a trimmer on tide sail when we got 200 miles towards Pentland Firth we found trimmer to be very ill, unable to do any work. We took him to Stromness and the doctor found him to be suffering from Kidney Disease effects of Scarlett Fever. He ordered him to the hospital, we left him ( D Smith ) & engaged another trimmer from Stromness and proceeded for Iceland all well.
