Memoranda by Skipper.
Alfred Whittleton master went to London by cutter to receive medical treatment he having received an injury to his right hand. James Moore 2nd Hand remained in charge and acted as skipper of the vessel from 29th July to August 5th when a new master joined her, having been sent from Hull by Cutter.
Record of Casualty.
April 5th 1886 North sea ran into by smack Dr Livingston damage slight. 225 miles from Spurn bearing ENE about noon. We had 3 stancheons broken also 3 planks & 14ft of covering board damaged. No watch in the look out on board of the Dr Livingston.
