F Clouddale. September 25 1885 5.30pm at sea, 70 miles east of Spurn. Drowned, fell overboard whilst preparing to shoot the gear. Supposed to have overbalanced himself. Lifebuoy thrown close to him & boat launched but he sank almost at once.
