We fouled a herring boats net September 26th. The Skipper of the herring boat gave me permission to cut his warp and clear his nets, and said do the best you can. I spliced his warp after cutting it.

January 25th 1.30am Smack Daniel 1175 fouled us ( Blessing ) had our gear down. Damaged covering board, starboard side & carrying away battens. Skipper of Daniel retorted he had his gear alongside, which I found out to be false.

January 25th 6am Smack Trafalgar 1097 fouled with us. Had our gear down & he was hauling gear in. Quite dark at the time, he had no lights up at the time whatever , doing us damage to mizen rigging & lantern on board our starboard side right across our quarter.

Record of Casualty. September 2nd North Sea. Collision by smack Daniel 1175 . ran into us and carried away the bowsprit while we were laying too on the starboard tack. Carlessness on the part of the Daniel.
