Memoranda by Skipper.
May 11 1889. Sir the boy threatened to knock me down on the 25 April at 8 am and on the 11 of May told me that he wanted to go home and to send for another cook as he wanted to get clear of his master and he would not be better on board to do as he was told to do until I sent him home. I told him that he would have to go to prison first , his answer was that he did not care for that he could go to prison and get clear of his master. Sent his master a letter of his behaviour during the voyage and telling him all particulars about him.
