Record of Casualty.

March 3rd North Sea. collision with smack Sir Joseph , neglect of his watch. 21st June 1889 North Sea between 2& 3pm. Collision with smack Harold of Hull. Through neglect of our watch who was below at the time.

2nd July 1889 11pm North Sea. Smack Young Alfred of Hull was towing the Alert H1089 with her gear down & towed her into our stern.

Memoranda by Skipper.

John Hall 4th Hand, was watch on deck at the time of the collision with smack Harold of Hull & through his negligence he was liable to a fine under regulation 6 ; but owing to his previous & subsequent good conduct I am willing to overlook the offence , without inflicting any penalty. Regulations for maintaining discipline, sanctioned by the board of trade can be found in full on page 3 of the agreement.
