13 May 1890 North Sea. Name of person illtreated - J Simpson 3rd hand by F lee 2nd hand. Assault. Some words passed between the two with reference to Simpson not using the small coal. Inn the heat of the moment Lee struck him in the face.

For the assault referred to on page 11 F Lee 2nd hand was fined 10/- under regulations 3 & 9 For maintaing discipline ( see page 3 ) which amount has been paid to the Mercantile Marine Office at Hull this day May 24th 1890.
