Record of Death or Injury. 6 November 1890 11pm St Andrews dock Hull. He was feeling between the turning wheel & eccentric strap of the engine with his right hand to see if there was any vibration when his second finger was caught in the machine and severely crushed.

Record of Casualty. 28 November 1890 North Sea. Ruined a new trawl warp & broke 2 chain stoppers & cast iron bollard.
