Record of Death or Injury.

Friday 14th November 1890 Killingholme. W Apter skipper . Drowned whilst swimming off to the boat, in order to recover it. Deceased & two others had gone ashore at Killingholme & had made fast their boat to a chalk stone with line. The tide rising it was carried away about 30 yards & Apter swam out to it to recover it, and whilst doing so sank.
