Memoranda by Skipper. 27 October 1890 North Sea. Lost our fishing gear & 110 fathoms of warp. Shipped a sea which caused the warp to part. Tuesday 30 1890 about 5am, our gear came fast whilst endeavouring to clear it smack Emerald of Hull towed across our warp and bridles & parted them. Also doing a little damage to the vessel.
