Record of Death or Injury.

11.45pm 20th April 1892. North Sea. Joseph Ketley deck hand . Whilst assisting to heave the gear & guiding the warp with a tackle on the drum of the winch, the deceased by some means , supposed owing to his placing his foot between the tackle block of the winch became entangled & was dragged along with the warp under the drum until his legs & part of his lower body came out the other side of the drum. Heaving up the winch was at once stopped but when found , Ketley was quite dead the lower part of his body was horribly mutilated.
