Sell out of second and third concerts given by the Orchestra; Patrons able to purchase tickets prior to general release; Season tickets for all three Orchestra concerts available for purchase at beginning of season; Anthony Hedges' 'Ayreshire Serenade', Constant Lambert's 'The Rio Grande', Brahms Violin Concerto, and Tchaikovsky programme performed; Johnny Morris engaged to narrate 'Peter and the Wolf' next season; Bela Siki and Anthony Goldstone engaged as soloists next season; Sponsored Concerts featured 'Viennese Concert', Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, and Shura Cherkassky; Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir Charles Groves and with Anna Reynolds, and violinist Henry Szeryng to feature in next season's Sponsored Concerts programme; Co-operation with the Bach Choir and the University Choir; Mrs Matthews no longer Sub-Leader of the Orchestra; The 'boundless enthusiasm' of Terence Lovett.
