Death of Dr Lionel Rosen; Resignation of Terence Lovett as Musical Director; Public criticism; Visit by Jean-Jacques Kantorow in November to play the Sibelius Violin Concerto; Visit of Michael Roll in February as guest pianist; Denis Matthews and Brenda McDermott 'on two pianos'; October Sponsored Concert featuring Annie Fischer and the Philharmonia of London; April Sponsored Concert featuring the Prague Chamber Orchestra; Dmitri Alexeev to be soloist in November concert; John Ogdon and Moura Lympany engaged for forthcoming February and May concerts; Meredith Davies, Richard Hickox and Antony Hopkins engaged as guest conductors for the coming year; Appeal that Patrons give greater support by attendance; Thanks to Brian Paynes as Deputy Conductor; Deaths of Mr Richard Frearson, Mr H. Burgan and Mr W. Schultz.
